Karen Handelman was awarded the 2008 AIGA Local Legend Award by the St. Louis chapter of the American Institute for Graphic Arts.
The Missouri Foundation for Health Annual Report won an award of distinction from the Communicator Awards, an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communication field. Entries were judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
TheĀ BJC School Outreach and Youth Development Website won a Platinum award from the MarCom Creative Awards, honoring excellence in marketing and communications.
The following projects were selected to be part of the AIGA St. Louis 11th show: Notre Dame High School Viewbook, Desire Street Ministries Branding Materials, and the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis Website.
501creative won a bronze quill for The Truth About Puppy Mills & Hoarding, a book created for the Humane Society of Missouri. The book explains the problems of puppy mills and hoarding and explains that Missouri has more than 1,000 suspected puppy mills while most states have fewer than a dozen. In fact, over 6,000 puppies depart each week from the state of Missouri. The project resulted in a half-million dollar donation from one donor and continues to be part of the Humane Society’s fundraising efforts.
Experts Agree. Don’t Top Your Tree won a bronze quill award from IABC (International Association of Business Communicators). The campaign was developed first in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Conservation and was then extended to a seven-state region in the Midwest and South.
